She married John Rider Cave in 1929 stating she was 25 years old (she was 35 years old). She stated her father was Charles Woodfruffe. In fact he was George Woodruff. When she died in 1981 it was clai med she was the widow of John Ryder Cave. Presumably she had made it common knowledge that he was deceased. In fact John Rider Cave was still alive and legally remarried living in Worthing. He died 1 4 years later. She was referred to as Lucy Cave in her mother''s will in 1933.
Whether she married another person before 1929 is an issue currently being researched - 18 April 2012
It is possible she entered into another marriage in 1939 - this is being researched - 09 March 2013
